This beautiful ski area and health spa enjoys reliable annual snowfall and fresh mountain fog-free air. The village of Bad Hofgastein, a jewel in the Salzburg holiday area, dates back to the 1500s and is set in the spectacular Gastein Valley of eastern Austria. "(Zw)a Brettel, a gführiger Schnee" ("Two planks and perfect Snow") are words that have a special meaning in Gastein. The area boasts the most vertical feet of skiable terrain in the eastern Alps with over 40 gondolas and lifts spread between five ski areas, all accessible by convenient, local shuttle buses. Afterwards it’s off to that world-famous Austrian Apreès ski and nightlife in the traditional Huts and comfortable lounges.
Besides great winter downhill skiing and snowboarding, the Gastein region also offers tobogganing, cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, horse-drawn sleigh rides and thermal baths. In addition, we are planning an optional day trip to Kitzbuhel. It is the home of the legendary Hahnankamm race course, the most challenging on the World Cup circuit.
You’ll stay for seven nights in the centrally located, almost hidden, family-run 4-Star Hotel Germania –directly in the centre of the village. Your stay includes a full European buffet breakfast and outstanding 4-course gourmet dinner daily and includes beer & wine with dinner!! The hotel also offers numerous health facilities and guarantees all guests personal and individual attention! Their nicely appointed rooms are fully-equipped with bath or shower, WC, balcony, Cable-TV and direct telephone line.
After the week in Bad Hofgastein we’ll make a one-night stop in Munich - the capital of Bavaria, where the beer is pure and the people enjoy life! You’ll be able to stroll from our ideally located 4-Star Maritim Hotel to the Marienplatz to view the famous "Glockenspiel", make an afternoon of it in one of the world’s largest museums, or spend some time in one of the many world famous beer halls that seem to be on every corner!
