About Us

Idaho Falls Ski Club Mission

The mission of IDAHO FALLS SKI CLUB (IFSC) is to promote, sustain, and advance the lifelong participation in non-motorized snow sports in southeast Idaho. This is accomplished by developing, promoting, and funding activities that increase and sustain participation in selected snow sports through a collective program of social, education, and sponsorship events. At this time, the IFSC is specifically promoting the increased participation and enjoyment of the following non-motorized snow sports: Alpine Skiing, Cross Country Skiing, Snowboarding, Snowshoeing, and Fat-Tire Biking.

Learn to Ski Program for 6th Graders

The IFSC is happy to be a part of the Education Foundation of District 91 and District 93 School Districts. We have the privilege of donating funds to 6th graders wishing to participate in the ski lesson program at Kelly Canyon. For only $100 per student, the kids get a chance to ski three nights, enjoy a lesson, lift ticket, equipment rentals, and transportation. Students who qualify for the program earn their way by doing a number of jobs at their schools and in their communities. The program is managed by Karla LaOrange of the Idaho Falls School District. We thank District 91 for giving us this opportunity to support teaching kids to ski. It’s exciting to be a part of this life long process for winter recreation.

Teton Regional Land Trust

The Idaho Falls Ski Club Board voted to donate $500 to the Wray Landon Legacy Fund on March 2, 2015. I am enclosing a check in the amount of $500 for this fund.

The Idaho Falls Ski Club wants to recognize the significant work of both Wray and Lani Landon in the efforts to educate the public on avalanche safety and their continuing efforts in support of key Teton Regional Land Trust initiatives.
