Mesa Falls Cross Country Skiing Discovery Trip

This Discovery Trip is designed to orient participants to the Mesa Falls ski area outside of Ashton. A map of the ski trail (including signage) will be reviewed with participants and then the trip coordinator will take interested participants on a fun cross country ski tour ending at Mesa Falls. Meet at 11:00 a.m. at Bear Gulch on Scenic Hwy 47 east of Ashton. Information on Park Passes etc. will be provided to participants.

Previous cross country ski experience is advisable. Wear appropriate cross-country clothing (no cotton) including warm pants, warm/waterproof gloves, a warm hat, and a light wind/water resistant/water-proof jacket. Bring a light backpack with water and some snacks to eat during short breaks. You can also include a light-weight fleece or down jacket just in case. Rentals are available in Idaho Falls or in Driggs ski shops.
