Martin Plum, President
Originally a native of Virginia, I moved from the snow-free environments of Berkley CA, Charleston SC, and Las Vegas NV to Idaho Falls in 1967. Not being extremely familiar with the winter season, I quickly fell in love with the seasons and snow, even with the lousy gear of wool sweaters, cotton socks, and over boots. In case it matters, I am a graduate of both Skyline and University of Idaho.
After college and with more money in my pockets, I took up Alpine Skiing because my Boise roommate was a professional patroller at Bogus. Moving back to Idaho Falls in 1982, I ended up as Social Chair in 1984 where I remained through the 1988 season. After a first date with my wife at Targhee, our priorities changed many times, but we always skied.
Still married and with three kids still at home and with four grand kids, you can find at least five of us on any weekend on the snow or ice sledding, skiing, snowshoeing, skating or playing ice bocce’ at least 45 days a year. Because I believe friendship, community, and lifetime sports are some of the best life has to offer, I believe also believe in giving back to those things that give meaning our my life. Skiing is just that – and it is why I have rejoined the IFSC Board, to help keep this club remain an important feature to our community in the SE Idaho winter season.
Our club faces many challenges, challenges similar to all social clubs today. Although I believe friendships and relationships are discovered, maintained, and nurtured differently than in the past, people still need these face-to-face human interactions for a fulfilling life. My desire is to help IFSC become an important part of the SE Idaho Winter Season by offering venues for friendships, good times, and a healthy and physical activity. I have no idea what these venues will be, but we must continue to focus on our shared passion for ice and snow. Please feel free to share your ideas with me and our Board.
As always, I look forward to continued opportunities for more perfect turns, more beer / pizza, more wine / cheese, more jokes / laughs, and of course, remembering the good times of those skiers who are no longer on the hill. Sincerely
Maureen 'Mo' Finnerty, Vice President
Bill Rogers, Treasurer
When I was in the eighth grade, my family moved from west Texas to Denver, Colorado. I immediately joined the local ski club and took the bus to Berthoud Pass every Saturday for ski lessons. Berthoud Pass on the Continental Divide is the coldest place in the world – especially in leather ski boots. Since then my professional career has taken me to many places where it was impossible or very inconvenient to ski. In 2005 I joined the Idaho National Laboratory and my wife and I relocated to Idaho Falls. The opportunity to live and work in a place that received 500 inches of Wyoming powder a year was a true godsend and we actually joined the Idaho Falls Ski Club before we moved. As an avid skier I can barely wait for ski season to begin and I go into a grand funk when it ends. Joining the IFSC Board has allowed me to help others have the same opportunity for participation in winter sports that I did – especially families with young kids.
Delisa Rogers, Ski Sale Coordinator
I moved to Idaho Falls in 2005 and have been a member of IFSC ever since. Although a job brought me here, the snow and close proximity to great hills was a major factor. I grew up skiing in New Mexico and Washington and then ventured out to Montana for school (a Bobcat through and through!). I’ve enjoyed all the time I’ve gotten to spend with IFSC from alpine trips, to the Italy trip, to just having fun up at Targhee, and I’m excited for the opportunity to become more involved.I also enjoy camping, hiking, cooking and traveling.
Alex Kepas, Alpine Director
I grew up skiing at Sundance Resort in Utah at the age of eight. I absolutely loved to be on the hill and spend every weekend I possibly can skiing. In 1993, I instructed youth ski groups and was excited to share my love for the sport. I am thankful I was able to teach my 4 children and that they love to ski and board. After many years enjoying a family season pass at Targhee, I began travelling throughout Idaho, Wyoming, Montana, Oregon, and Utah. I have enjoyed the Mtn. Collective pass for a couple years and look forward to being an IKON pass holder with my daughter Ally. She likes to travel with me and experience different mountains and make new friends. I find so much beauty and solace in my time spent skiing with friends and family and blessed to have so many wonderful outdoor winter options available to us here in Eastern Idaho.
I served as the Publicity Chair and Social Director for over 5 years and as Alpine Director look forward to continuing to share my passion with others and offer fun and affordable trips for our members. I was blessed to travel to Zermatt, Switzerland with our club in 2018 and look forward to hearing about the 2020 trip to Cortina, Italy, while I focus on the regional trips. I do plan to finally ski Colorado and I am stoked for that adventure.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in advertising, from BYU, I have a passion for fitness, and was the founder and owner of Super Fly Fitness. I currently do private marketing consulting and work as an account sales executive and creative writer for Sandhill Radio. In addition to skiing, I enjoy tennis, cycling, running, golfing, hiking, boating, fishing, scuba diving, traveling, painting, and listening to music. See you on the Slopes!

Sue Rinaldi, Publicity Director
Leslie Johnson, Membership Director
Robin Villarreal, Past President
I have been actively involved in the Idaho Falls Ski Club since the late 80’s. I did Ski Fest and Membership Chairman for many years off and on. This is my first year of being actively involved as part of the Ski Sale team. I love that the Sale proceeds directly benefit area skiers and boarders. Even though winter is not my most favorite season, it’s nice to get out and enjoy the outdoor activities that our area provides.
Emily Munns, Member At Large
I am a native of the Idaho Falls area and began skiing at Kelly Canyon and Grand Targhee as a young teenager and have loved it ever since. I began snowboarding in college when they first came out. Years later, I am happy to have moved back to Idaho Falls and enjoy both skiing and snowboarding. I’ve been a member of the Idaho Falls Ski Club many times and am happy to serve on the board to help keep winter sports a positive and organized activity for our schools and adults.
Debora Wagoner, Ski Festival
I started alpine skiing in Maine when I was 12 years old. I continue to ski in Idaho since I moved here in 1990. I also enjoy cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.
